Businesses should be adamant about protecting their customers

Stop us if you've heard this one before, but a business seemingly failed to keep its premises in a safe condition, and as a result someone was injured. If we sound like a broken record, its because these events happen all the time, and you would think at some point that businesses and property owners would learn that they must uphold their responsibilities and keep their patrons, guests or tenants safe.

In this specific case, a woman was in a barbecue restaurant and she slipped and fell on a slippery spot on the floor. The wet substance was left over from a mop, and the woman suffered serious injuries as a result of the incident. She filed a lawsuit against the restaurant and says she suffered immense pain and lost out on income as a result of the slip-and-fall.

It is unclear if the restaurant attempted to warn customers of the slippery substance, but what is clear is that serious injuries occurred to a patron because a liquid substance was left uncleaned. Any business should be expedient in its attempt to clean up any such condition, otherwise unfortunate incidents like this one can occur.

And it seems like some variation of this story happens every day. Too many businesses fail in one of their most basic duties: keeping their customers safe. When this happens, the victims should stand up for their rights and interests by talking with an experienced premises liability attorney.
